About The Course

This RYT200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, 23-days course, you will be guided through the techniques of Hatha Yoga. Shyam Gurung runs the Yoga Asana Clinic. Hatha Yoga is considered one of the oldest forms of yoga. The course will include a mix of Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR THE SYLLABUS OUTLINE.

DAILY SCHEDULE

730-9am – Nostrils cleansing (neti pot), Breathing techniques, Sun salutation and Hatha yoga posture

9am – breakfast

11-12pm – Guided meditation or sound bowl meditation (in the dome)

1230pm – lunch (vegetarian yogic diet)

2-3pm – sound bowl healing ( time May subject to change due to ongoing course)

430-6pm – Yoga posture (ashtanga or vinyasa flow)

630pm – dinner

INSTRUCTOR

Yoga Teacher Instructor at HYR RYT200, RYT500, YACEP

Shyam Gurung’s first exposure to Yoga was in early 2003 through his sister Devika: The founder of Himalayan Yogini and considered to be the first female Yoga instructor in Pokhara, Nepal. After two years of self-practice, Shyam started teaching in 2008 when he received his first HY200 hour’s Yoga certificate from Himalayan Yogini. In 2015 he received RYT 200 hours Yoga Alliance certification from Earth Yoga School in Nepal. Currently, Shyam specializes in Yoga philosophy and teaches Yoga Therapy and offers RYT200 hours Yoga Alliance course. Shyam is the head Yoga instructor at Himalayan Yogini Retreat and offers a wide array of Yoga courses, classes, and retreats.

Shyam has 6,600 teaching hours to date.

Meditation Instructor

Mangal Gurung

Has a background in Buddhist philosophy and spent 24 years as a monk in Kopan Monastery before he disrobed. He specializes in Prajnaparamita, Ultimate Love Meditation, Compassion, Equanimity Karma, and how to overcome from Samsaric suffering. He incorporates Buddhist Teaching and philosophy into the Chakra meditations of the RYT200 and RYT300. The monastic training he received was focused on inspecting yourself (what you’re doing your daily activities) and if problems come or suffering arises then you ask what is the causes of suffering? and how to overcome it? Mangal is certified in Tibetan singing bowl healing and meditation and offers a certificate for those interested in becoming sound bowl healers. He earned his RYT200 in 2016 and speaks and writes in Tibetan, Nepali and English.

Himalayan Yogini Retreat Center

is located above the beautiful Phewa Lake, in the lap of the Annapurna Mountains. An ancient place of divine union and primary Yoga. All the foods are local and organically made with love and passion. Much of our food comes from our own organic garden.

ACCOMMODATION

Simple private rooms have ensuite bathrooms and hot shower. Shared rooms have shared bathrooms and hot shower. Wifi is available all the time.

FOOD

We have 3 rotating cooks who prepare locally grown organic produce in Nepali, Tibetan and western cuisine. Our food is all vegetarian and focuses on healthy clean eating with low oil content. With advance notice we can provide for vegan and gluten free options. We have our own organic garden and use what is in season. Herbal tea is provided 24hours a day.

PREREQUISITES

All enrolled students should have experience in Yoga or other dynamic styles of yoga. Students should be in good health and physical condition.

To ensure the quality of the program and personalized guidance for each student. The yoga teacher training is limited to 8 students only.

Yoga Alliance RYT200 CERTIFICATION

We are offering Yoga Alliance RYT200 certification to be awarded at the completion of the 200 hours training. A Himalayan Yogini certificate will be awarded at the completion of the YTTC as well. TheRYT200 certificate fee must be paid online.

Terms and Conditions:

50% of the remaining amount is refundable if cancellations received within 30 days to the arrival date.
25% of the remaining amount is refundable if cancellations received within 14-29 days to the arrival date.
full payment is non-refundable if cancellations received within 0-13 days to the arrival date. Anyway, the timing is transferable up to 1 year from the date of booking.
